Early outpatient cardiac rehab

After discharge from the hospital, your cardiac rehabilitation involves exercise sessions that are supervised by a medical team. The medical team of heart doctors and cardiologists continually monitor your heart’s response to exercise to ensure safety while exercising. Your program may include educational sessions, aerobic and lightweight training exercises such as:

  • Walking on a treadmill
  • Riding a stationary bike
  • Stair climbing
  • Riding the NuStep® machine
  • Resistance weight training with Nautilus® machines

This maintenance program lasts for two months. Within the two months, this program is designed to continue developing your independence in the exercise setting and to prepare you to move onto an independent exercise program in a wellness center.
