At the age of 68, Essie Bell suffered from debilitating vertigo, which severely impeded her independence with daily living tasks, management tasks, driving, and leisure tasks. She had multiple medical conditions and functional limitations that stemmed from the side effects of her vertigo, including dizziness, room spinning, inability to look from side to side, and loss of balance. With the help of Occupational Therapy performed at Fairview Park Hospital, Mrs. Essie has been able to regain her independence and perform tasks on her own again.

"We gave her life back to her," says Therapy Director, Stacey Davis. "She is enjoying going out with her husband, going to church, and doing things that she enjoyed doing prior to her onset vertigo."
